Bubba Kush Marijuana

Bubba Kush is a modern heavy Indica hybrid. The L. breeder claims that the mother’s breed that was affectionately not named became known as the ‘Bubba’ and has since been lost. Before 1998, Bubba Kush was only available as a clone, but it has since been replicated so its seeds can be packaged and sold. Bubba Kush is a classic indica high in a solid balm that leaves users relaxed but still works. It usually has high THC content, ranging from 15% to 22%.

What Does Bubba Kush Look Like?

Bubba Kush has small to medium-sized buds with a dense bud structure characteristic of Indica varieties. Leaves are dark green and can sometimes appear shades of purple due to the activation of anthocyanin pigments due to cold temperatures during the growth process. In addition, this is a very resinous strain – a layer of white trichomes covers the colored leaves, visible from the inside when the buds break.

What Does Bubba Kush Smell Like?

The flowers have a mysterious aroma of coffee or cocoa, with some slight fruit underneath. When it burns, Bubba Kush emits a much hotter, spicy scent, as one would expect from a Kush, with a somewhat harsh, cough-inducing smoke. Notably, this is one of the strains whose purple flowers do not taste like grapes: the dyes that determine the color of Bubba Kush do not affect the flavor. Instead, the taste is primarily moist, with some sweetness and pepper kick on the exhale. This is also a particularly snappy breed – users concerned about discretion should plan accordingly.

The Bubba Kush High

Unusually for such an intense Indica strain, the high of the Bubba Kush begins with a distorted and confused sensation in the head. However, this blurring gives way to more representative body melting that increases in intensity as the higher layer erodes. Although not necessarily a stimulant, smokers can maintain mental focus and speak or perform tasks as needed. Users will mostly feel very relaxed, have slow breathing, and have a palpable sense of physical well-being. Couchlock is uncommon, leaving users functional and attentive.

The medicinal uses of Bubba Kush are both mental and physical – it can provide some relief from the anxiety and depression as well as soothe chronic and deep-seated pain. It can also act as a remedy for insomnia in large enough doses. Many users describe  that increased appetite as a common side effect. Ideally suited to nighttime or daytime lazy use, Bubba Kush’s stimulating both body and mind makes it great for the activities that involve both – including, but not limited to, exercise and sex.

Growing Bubba Kush At Home

Bubba is relatively easy to grow and recommended for newcomers to cannabis cultivation. Stocky and shrub-like most other indica varieties, its plants can be grown indoors, outdoors, or in a greenhouse. Outdoors, the strain is naturally resistant to molds and other pests, but growers must ensure consistent sunlight and a consistent daytime temperature between the 72 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. THe Bubba Kush grows well indoors in soil but may yield higher if grown in a hydroponic solution. The strain blooms between the 8 and 9 weeks when wriggling indoors and is ready to harvest outdoors in early October. Although the yield of plants for this strain is usually lower—32 to 35 grams (or 1 to 1.2 ounces) per square foot—the flower quality is very high.

The dense buds are covered in sticky triangular shapes, making them valuable for processing and direct selling and the production of retail and other concentrates. Growers must ensure that mature shoots are appropriately treated by hanging them upside down for about a week in a room that maintains the 50% humidity and a constant temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit; The dried buds are then sealed in wide-mouthed jars in a room with a temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit and 60-65% humidity.
